Portfolio

This portfolio highlights a selection of my academic and professional projects that reflect my experience in communication, strategic thinking, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. Through these projects, I have strengthened my ability to present ideas clearly, approach challenges with innovative thinking, and connect effectively with diverse audiences.

Sports Injury Project

During my University of Florida Transfer Success course, my team and I participated in the Innovation Academy Catalyst event where we spent several weeks researching, developing, and refining a prototype solution to a real-world problem. Throughout the process, we worked through multiple iterations of our idea, collaborating to transform an initial concept into a tangible prototype.

This experience challenged me to think creatively while also learning how to communicate ideas effectively within a team. Working through different perspectives helped us refine our approach and strengthen our final solution. Presenting our prototype also helped me build confidence in explaining complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Overall, the experience strengthened my skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and innovative thinking.

ABB Internship/Co-Op

My professional experience at ABB has provided me with hands-on exposure to technical sales, project coordination, and customer-focused problem solving. As part of the Florida Sales Team, I support account managers by preparing proposals, analyzing product specifications, and assisting with the quoting process for multi-family electrical distribution projects.

Through this role, I have developed strong skills in communication, attention to detail, and strategic thinking while working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for customers. I have also contributed to internal resources and knowledge-sharing tools that help improve efficiency and support the team’s ability to respond to project needs quickly and accurately.

Linkedin Importance Analysis

For this project, I conducted a strategic analysis of LinkedIn and its role as a professional networking platform. The report evaluated the platform’s growth, user demographics, key features, and how businesses and individuals use LinkedIn to build professional networks and promote their brands. I also examined how LinkedIn’s tools, such as profile building, content sharing, analytics, and targeted advertising, allow professionals and companies to connect with specific audiences and strengthen their online presence.

Through this project, I gained a deeper understanding of how social media platforms can be used strategically for professional development and marketing. It also strengthened my skills in research, digital media analysis, and evaluating how platforms like LinkedIn help individuals and businesses grow their networks and opportunities in the modern professional world.

Duotone Project

For one of my first projects using Photoshop, I focused on learning how to manipulate color to create strong visual contrast and mood. I experimented with a duotone effect, choosing a bright blue and pink color palette to emphasize shadows and highlight key elements within the image. By adjusting gradients, blending modes, and tonal values, I was able to transform a simple image into something more dynamic and visually engaging. This project helped me understand how color can guide the viewer’s eye and enhance the overall composition. Since then, the duotone technique has become a valuable tool in my Photoshop workflow, allowing me to create bold, cohesive designs with a distinct aesthetic.

Clipping Mask Project

Another Photoshop tool I explored was the clipping mask, which allowed me to combine typography with imagery in a more creative way. In this project, I focused on designing my name by experimenting with different Adobe fonts, paying attention to how various typefaces pair together in terms of style, weight, and balance. This helped me develop a better understanding of typography and how font choices can influence the overall look and feel of a design.

After selecting a combination that worked well, I used a clipping mask to place an image of paint inside the letters of my name. This technique made the text more visually engaging by turning it into a textured, image-filled element rather than just plain type. Through this process, I learned how clipping masks can be used to seamlessly blend images and text, creating more dynamic and personalized designs. It’s a technique I now use often to elevate simple compositions and add a unique visual touch.
